You are important to us!
We at Lotus Hotel Group AB (Billingehus Hotel & Möte AB, Eggers Hotel & Restaurant AB, Varbergs Stadshotell & Asia Spa AB and Arken konferenscenter AB) want you to feel safe with how we handle your personal data. We attach great importance to your privacy and have therefore developed a personal data regulation to explain what data we collect, what we use it for and how you can exercise your rights.
1. Information gathering and tracking
1.1 Registration of personal data
When you register with us by phone, email, online booking or visit, we save your contact details in order to efficiently manage your bookings or other services with us. We send newsletters to inform you about offers and current events. You can always unsubscribe from these via a link in our newsletters. Postal mailings also occur.
1.2 Subscribing to the newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletters on our website via a form linked to our e-mail distribution system. Your data is processed in this system, but we at Lotus Hotel Group are still responsible for your personal data. You can choose to unsubscribe from our mailings at any time.
1.3 Cookies
When you first visit our website, a cookie is automatically sent to your computer. Read more about the cookies we use in the COOKIE SETTINGS >
2. Images on the website and publication on social media
We are careful when publishing images of individuals on our website or social media. Our policy is that posts that directly identify an individual by name and image may only be made if the person has given their consent to the publication.
We often take photos and in some cases video footage at the events we organize. These may be published on our website and/or our social media channels without the consent of anyone in the picture. If you wish to participate in an event but not be photographed, please let us know when you register or at the event and we will respect your wishes.
Our intention when we choose to publish an image is that it should serve a purpose and not be perceived as offensive or singling out any individual or group. However, if you feel that we have published an image or post that identifies you personally and that you do not feel comfortable with, please contact us and we will immediately remove the image both externally and internally.
3. Information security
We always handle data about you in a trustworthy manner and we do not share this data with third parties. However, we may disclose your personal data to suppliers who provide, for example, IT services, media selection or advertising for our business. Recipients who process personal data on our behalf must always enter into a so-called data processing agreement with us, in order for us to ensure that your data is processed correctly and securely.
4. Collection of data when booking through an online agency (OTA)
When you book a hotel through an online booking agency, such as booking.com or hotels.com, you provide them with your personal data. This personal data is the responsibility of and handled by the respective operator in accordance with their privacy policy. Once a booking is made through an OTA, they will send certain personal data to the respective hotel to confirm that the booking has been made.
When you book through a travel agency, you provide your personal data to the travel agency and consent to the travel agency processing it in its operations. The travel agent can therefore identify you, for example, by your booking reference number.
We are not responsible for the handling of the personal data you have provided directly to the respective operators. If you wish to delete your data, you must contact the respective booking agency yourself.
5. Access to information
You can request once a year to receive all the information stored by sending a written, hand-signed request to
Billingehus, Alphyddevägen, 541 33 Skövde
In the letter, please provide your name, address, e-mail, telephone number and social security number in addition to your case. A reply will be sent to your registered address.
6. Modification and deletion of information
If you believe that the information we have stored about you is incorrect, please contact us and we will update it. Information that we no longer need is deleted on an ongoing basis. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, after any legal requirements no longer apply.
7. When does this Regulation apply?
Our Data Protection Regulation applies to all our records and services linked to our websites.
Our websites may contain links to other websites. When you choose to visit them, our privacy policy no longer applies.
